Ellie Hussong began her photography career over 20 years ago when her husband gave her the gift of a camera.  She documented the antics of her two young sons and wondered the Wisconsin countryside photographing the beauty around her.   She enrolled in any locally available camera classes and discovered the joy of learning her craft.  Over the years she has studied with many nationally renowned photographers and continues to take classes as often as possible.   With the digital revolution there is just so much more to learn and Ellie truly believes that her education will never quite be completed.

This past year, Ellie and her husband, Dave, completed the addition of a new studio onto their home which is located in a beautiful wooded location just north of Wausau.  This has allowed her to use the incredible countryside that she loves so much for her photographs as well as the wonderful parks in the Wausau area.  

Over the years, Ellie has photographed hundreds of weddings as well as high school seniors and families.  Her son, Philip, spent last summer photographing with Ellie on all her weddings and is employed in the photography industry.   Her son, Matthew, is completing his education as a graphic artist and provides his insight into her business.

She is a member of PPA (Professional Photographer of America) and WPPI (Wedding and Portraits Photographers International).
